Academic Treasure

One of India's Important Repositories for Cultural & Anthropological Research

One of the Institute's greatest treasures is its distinguished Library, a valuable resource for researchers and students alike. Housing nearly 60,000 volumes, it offers an extensive collection on Indian culture, society, religion, anthropology, philosophy, and related disciplines.

The library subscribes to approximately 200 Indian and international journals and preserves numerous rare and specialised works that are difficult to find elsewhere. Housed in the New Academic Unit, the facility provides a spacious reading room, a reference section, a Conference Hall, and a Seminar Room. The collection continues to grow with carefully selected contemporary publications.
